Dear Friends,
I would like to share with you some good news about the future of our project.
Through the generous support of two wonderful institutions in Germany: Zukunftsstiftung Entwicklungshilfe Foundation, of Bochum, and the Institution Freunde der Erziehungskunst Rudolf Steiners e. V. of Berlin, we have purchased the land adjacent to the project, 4,200 square meters, in order to build a primary school, where we will continue to provide pedagogical benefits for the children who attend our Kindergarten ¨ Wawa Munakuy¨.
Here are a group of recent photos, showing the start of work in this area. With the help of a machine, we have removed the hillside, building four terraces and an interior road parallel to the country road. Next we will build the perimeter wall, and then, little by little, as far as we can, we will construct the buildings. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the rainy season, we will use the terraces to plant quinoa, beans, peas and wheat.
