There are four types of shawls:
- A triangular shaped small size, good for around the neck - $50
- A triangular shaped large size with a border of fringe - $60
- A triangular shaped medium size - $60 (also pictured is a long rectangular scarf)
- A four sided medium size, called a "Ruana" - $55
The Elegant Shawls, and Scarves made by the Q'ewar knitting ladies are all hand-made of pure fine alpaca. The designs on each differ and are individually hand-crafted, exclusive to the Q'ewar Project.
Some of the shawls are done in crochet and others are knitted.
There are two types of scarves:
- A long rectangular shape, wide, but not fully covering the back - $50.
- The traditional size scarf, normal width and length - $35
The colors vary, but include the natural off-whites, browns and blacks of the alpaca.
Additionally, there are varied hues of purple and lilac from the cochineal natural dye.
There are also fibers which have been industrially spun and dyed. One can choose from burgundy, blue hues, rust, plum, black and others.
If you wish to order a particular color, please indicate this in your order and we will make every effort to accommodate your wishes.
In ordering ponchos, please indicate your choice of fringe or no fringe.
